More Details On Father Who Killed Himself And Sons In House Explosion

More details are coming out about Josh Powell, the man who blew up himself and his two young sons in a house explosion over the weekend.

Powell's brother-in-law said the motivation behind the killing may have been that he wanted the kids to keep quiet about their mother Susan Powell's 2009 disappearance.

Brother-in-law Kirk Graves explained:

"I think this was a last-ditch effort on his part to hurt everyone around him and escape all of the problems. They were becoming more fun, more vocal. They were acting like little boys again, which we hadn't seen in a while. … I imagine that part of Josh's motivation was, what could he do to hide that story?"

Graves said that even Powell's 7-year-old son Charlie commented that his mother was "in the trunk" when Josh took the boys camping the night she went missing.

He also adds that "absolutely nothing anybody could have done" to prevent the double-murder suicide, but he of course, is still grieving.

"Not only this a horrible, horrible thing, but it just came out of nowhere. It leaves you in a total state of shock. Why did he do this to the boys? I've been asking myself that I don't know how many times."

This has been such a shocking and tragic story. We truly feel for the Graves family and their loss.
