Christina Aguilera Reveals She Wants To Reconnect With Estranged Father

In both her music and in interviews, Christina Aguilera has been fairly open about the emotional and physical abuse she witnessed and endured from her father Fausto Aguilera while growing up.

In fact, the last time Xtina saw her estranged father was back in 1999.

But, the singer is ready to move on and has suggested that she would like to reconnect with him and perhaps even have lunch with him one of these days.

She recently said:

"I've talked about how rough things were for me and I'm sure he's heard it. He can't be thrilled about it. So maybe one day we can do lunch … I'm 31 years old now. Maybe it's time.

Growing up I did not feel safe. Feeling powerless is the worst feeling in the world. I turned to singing as an outlet. The pain at home is where my love for music came from."

Christina's dad Fausto has denied he ever hit Christina though. Back in 2002, he said:

"My relationship with her mother was tense and I wasn't perfect. But I love Christina and her sister Rachel. I never abused them in any way and they know that. Shelly and I disagreed on a lot of things and we both had hot tempers. I'm sorry to have ever raised a hand to my wife, but it was never brutal like Ike and Tina Turner."

Christina also talks about her failed marriage to Jordan Bratman. She says:

"Was I too young? Not at all. I did the exact right thing at the time. .I definitely wasn't too young. I have always been older than my age."

At least there are no regrets, right? Besides, she got a beautiful son Max out of her marriage.

We think it's great that Christina is ready to move on and is willing to meet with her father. It will definitely help heal a lot of wounds.

Christina Aguilera Is An Awesome Mom For Max's 4th Birthday!

Happy Birthday Max Bratman!

To celebrate the big 0-4 Christina Aguilera treated her mini-me to a trip to Legoland!

And they did it in style! We saw X-tina s her adorable son walking into got A LIMO to head back to El Lay! SO MUCH FUN!!!

That sounds SO much better than what Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie planed for Zahara's "African" Birthday bash.

Xtina's Family Day Out In The Big Apple

Christina Aguilera had a family day out in the Big Apple with her man Matt Rutler and her son Max.

The three bundled up as they braved the winter air, leaving their SoHo hotel, while also taking along their adorable little pooch.

Max's hat is amazing, BTW. We're totes jealz!

It's Xmas Tree Time For Xtina And Max!

X-MAS!

Christina Aguilera and her boyfriend Matthew Rutler took her son Max to a Christmas tree lot in Beverly Hills, California over the weekend.

The three walked around looking for the perfect tree, but looks like they ended up going home empty-handed.

Aww, seems Max is a little bummed about that. We would be too!!
